London Underground

The world's oldest underground railway, the London Underground system, commonly known as the Tube because of the cylindrical shaped tunnels, criss-crosses below the historic city of London, carrying around 3,400,000 people per day. It has 11 lines and 270 stations on the network, and covers a large part of Greater London, as well as parts of Essex, Buckinghamshire and Hertfordshire.
